Greetings to all from Linda Sacco, Chairperson of the Dania Beach Airport Advisory Board (board).
I am attaching the by-laws of the board to clarify my reason for contacting you.  Article II, Section 6 of the by-laws states the policy of the board regarding absences. 

The following members of the board have had 4 absences recorded since April 2011:

Chris Johnston (appointed by Mayor Flury)
Mark LaRocca (appointed by Commissioner Duke)
Jocelyn Lummis (appointed by Commissioner Duke)
Joe Payne (appointed by Commissioner Duke)

There has been a vacancy on the board listed on the agenda of the Dania Beach City Commission since October 25, 2011.  Commissioner Grace is listed on the agendas of the commission since that date as the person responsible for appointing a resident to the board.

It is vital that the Dania Beach Airport Advisory Board maintain attendance at a level that will ensure a quorum is present to vote on issues important to the residents of the city. It is also important that the vacancy be filled.
